I started playing golf in 1983. For me, it was love at first swing. My thirst for improvement was (and still is) obsessive. As I improved, the challenge became greater but my desire grew as well. I attended golf schools and sought out instructors to continue my quest. My admiration of these teachers planted the seed of my dream – to teach golf. I knew I had the right temperament and a wealth of personal experiences to draw on. I knew I could be a good teacher. What I didn’t know was whether I had the game to succeed. I expressed this desire to my golf teacher who was supportive. He gave me the confidence I needed just when I was ready to brush this dream aside. When he said, “I think you have the game,” that was it! From that day forward I set my sites on becoming a golf teaching professional. Fourteen months of intense practice later, my dream came true.
